Coming from a huge international family that mostly lived in India during my childhood, those of us who live in the US take every chance we could get to spend quality time together. I spent 4-6 months a year in India growing up so I got to know my family there quite well, and some of my favorite memories growing up include my siblings and closest cousins from India, many of whom came to the US to attend various colleges and would spend most Christmas & Thanksgiving holidays staying with my parents and I in the suburbs of DC! A few of my closest family members even settled along the East Coast with their new families and have been together through decades of regular get togethers.
We make a constant effort to spend a lot of time together, whether that means going on trips, convening for almost every holiday, or even getting our dogs to Group FaceTime with my baby nieces and nephews!

Cocoa, my 7-year old Chocolate Labrador, is a huge part of my life and a very popular family member!
Once a year, we meet at Peter Luger's to indulge!
My cousin's Wedding in Calcutta, India. He lives outside DC with his wife and kid - we hang out all the time!
Family from US & India met half-way in France, for a 62-person get together!
Everyone loves Cocoa, who has the best temperament and is a staple at family get togethers
(even when she sneaky eats our entire thanksgiving pie off of the counter!)
